Refuse and Recycling
Residential waste hauling, recycling, and yard waste collection is provided by ARC Disposal Company, Inc. Materials must be placed at the curb no later than 6:30 AM the day of the collection but not prior to 6:00 PM the day before the collection.

Service Days
Refuse, recycling and yard waste for all residents is picked up on Fridays. However, when your scheduled pickup day occurs on or after one of the six following holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) your pickup will be delayed by one day.
Refuse Services
ARC Disposal provides each residential customer, serviced at the curb, with a new dark green refuse cart. All refuse material should be placed in the cart for pick up. The cart will be maintained by ARC and is the property of ARC Disposal. Lost, damaged or stolen carts will be replaced at no cost to the customer.
Recycling Services
ARC Disposal provides each residential customer, serviced at the curb, with a brown recycling cart. All recycling material should be placed in the cart for pick up. No separation of materials is necessary. The cart will be maintained by ARC and is the property of ARC Disposal. Lost, damaged or stolen carts will be replaced at no cost to the customer.
Yard Waste
ARC Disposal provides weekly yard waste collection from March 15th through December 15th to all single-family residents (town homes and condos are not included). All yard waste must be placed in either biodegradable paper bags or plastic or metal containers clearly labeled with an "X". Bags and containers must not exceed 30 gallons in size or 50 pounds in weight. Residents may request a separate yard waste cart, for a small fee, by simply calling ARC Disposal at (847) 981-0091.
Christmas Trees
Christmas trees will be collected during the first two weeks of January through the City's Holiday Tree Collection & Chipping Program. After that time, ARC Disposal will collect trees.
White Goods
White Goods include refrigerators, freezers, ranges, water heaters, air conditioners, humidifiers and other similar domestic and commercial large appliances. These items, also referred to as white goods, that have not had their components removed were banned from landfills on July 1, 1994. These components are mercury switches, chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerant gas (Freon) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
Seniors
Seniors (age 65 or older) may request a discount by calling City Hall (847) 398-6070.
Extra Carts
Residents may request an additional cart, for a small fee, by calling ARC Disposal at (847) 981-0091.
