Department Organizational Structure

The Chief of Police is responsible for providing guidance and administrative direction to the entire police department. He plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the city’s comprehensive police services.

The Prospect Heights Police Department is divided into two main divisions: Field Operations and Support Services, both of which are managed by the Deputy Chief.

The Field Operations Division includes the Patrol Division and the Investigations Division. The Support Services Division consists of the Records Division and the Social Services Division.

  • 17 Full-time Police Officers
  • 4 Part-time Police Officers

Investigations Division

  • 4 Full-time Police Officers (Detectives)

Records Division

  • 3 Full-time Civilian employees
  • 7 Part-time Civilian employees

Social Services Division

  • 1 Full-time Police Social Worker
